it's quilted

Yay, I've finished this quilt. I coined a new phrase - 'stream of consciousness' quilting. I just quilted whatever came into my head, so there are about 5000 different things on this quilt LOL. It was fun to do. The back is plain white even though it doesn't look like it in the photo. The thread is a brightish pink variegated by YLI, which was very nice to quilt with.

The only problem is the flowers don't work on the quilt with so much quilting on it. Now I'll have to make aother quilt so I can use the flowers. Oh well...

Looks like you had a great time quilting that! Too bad you no loger like the flowers on there..........maybe you should set them ontop and see if they grow on you.

Wow, that quilting looks great! I love the way a variegated threads brings some much life to plain fabric.

Lovelovelove the flowers, too - looking forward to seeing what you do with them!

I think the flowers would still look fabulous! I also love the quilting but i'm probably biased as I often quilt like that - it stops you getting bored and you can come up with some really nice things.

Remember there's no such thing as OTT in most quilts so the flowers could be wonderful, besides even though the quilting is intricate it's all over so the flowers will add focus. I'm hoping to find out how you did the flowers on your blog as they really do look wonderful. if that's satin stitching around them you are one GOOD satin stitcher - those curves are pretty tight!!!

Fabulous! The tea stained pieces work so well with the rest! Keep going! Can't stop you now!
