finished a quilt started in about 2000

This quilt was started in about 2000, I think. I saw a photo of a quilt by Mary E Fox, and it inspired me to try something similar. It turned out very dramatic. I'm still trying to think of a name for it. Anyone have any ideas?

Tomorrow I'll be back to making some more atc's. I should have some photos to share later in the week. I also bought some fabric paints to play with, and have my first batch of rust dyeing brewing now. It's been a creative week!

That is striking indeed. I'm naming-challenged: my first thought for a name was "Heart Attack!" because of the intense red and that the zigzaggies remind me of my dad's heart monitor last year (so maybe "Arythmia" would work as a title heh).

WOW! It is so striking, I just love the quilting that has been done on it. It helps to reflect the stormy affect. It is like a lightening strike. I love it.

Must feel a very positive achievement to have finished it :-)

What a fantastic quilt, I was going to say striking but that has been used twice already. I dont know what to comment of first the pattern, the vibrant colour or the inovative quilting,I always love to look at your work. What about calling it ' High Voltage ' Keep them coming..........Margaret in Smithton

just gorgeous...but I am no help with names....I am not great with naming quilts, butI like Sion's Arythmia...sounds better than Heart Attack! LOL...and I like the "Rythm" in the middle...
YOur boxes and wrapped cords are really fabulous too...I am going to have to look at those sites...not that I need any more projects at this point of time!

I.C. Red

(icey red/i see red)

... to me it kind of looks like fire and ice (that could be a good name too - "fire and ice" - lol)

or ... "red alert"

("be alert - the world need more lerts"? ;-)

"Zapped"?
"Raspberry Zing"? or "Raspberry Fizz"?

I guess the possibilities are endless - that is usually (but not always) the problem I have with nameing things I make - which one do I choose out of the several that I thought of?! LOL
(but that just makes it harder if I make something and I finish it and realise that I still have not thought of any names for it! ... think that has happened to me once so far ... but I think the simple boring name I came up with was probably the best name for it - suited it better than if I had come up with something weird and long like the names a lot of my stuff has).

My first thought was EKG! Funny how many of us are on the same wavelength... I then morphed that to Lifelines.....

Let us know what you decide!

Cheers, Sarah

Oh, Smoke and Flames springs to mind! It's visually stunning, Cat. I envy those who can quilt. I don't have the patience for it.
